Universal Orlando announced today in a blog post that there is a possiblity of Islands of Adventure opening early on June 13th in anticipation of a large crowd for the grand opening of their new ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They also announced that starting June 14th the ride will operate with the use of a virtual queue. This means that guests that wish to ride the new coaster can use the Universal Orlando app to set up a time to ride the ride as soon as they have entered the park. In other words, guests will use the virtual line system to hold their place in line while exploring the rest of the Islands of Adventure then once their pre-selected time has arrived they make their way to Hagrid’s and scan their park ticket or the barcode provided within the app thus reducing their actual time standing in a physical line to a minimum, usually 5-10 mins based on what we have seen at Volcano Bay.

- If You Plan to Join Us on Opening Day, June 13: Universal’s Islands of Adventure may open earlier than scheduled so that you can begin queueing for the new experience. We’ll have dedicated team members stationed throughout the line to assist you and answer any questions you have.

- Virtual Line: Beginning June 14, there may be times when our team members ask you to join the Virtual Line on The Official Universal Orlando Resort App to experience Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. This will allow you to enjoy other attractions in the park until it’s your time to join the queue.
