‘Tis the season for outdoor activities, enjoying the sun, and having fun outside in general – but of course we have to have fun at a distance! Today we headed out to Disney Springs and then to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort to check out the all new Tri-Circle-D Ranch, which was completely updated and renovated! We got to take a look at the horses and ponies that you can get an up close look at and also take pictures of. So on that note, let’s saddle up and enjoy this wilderness adventure!

You may be wondering, what exactly is the Tri-Circle-D Ranch? The ranch itself is located in Disney’s very own Fort Wilderness Resort! It includes Horse-Drawn Carriage rides, Wagon rides, Horseback riding, Pony rides, and even Holiday Sleigh rides. You are even welcome to stroll through the stables to see Cinderella’s Ponies and the majestic horses of Main Street, U.S.A. If you are an animal lover you will get a kick out of the variety of breeds that live at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, including Appaloosas, Arabians, Belgians, Clydesdales, paint horses, Percherons and quarter horses, and even Shetland ponies. Tri-Circle-D Ranch has it all!

The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is still currently under construction and they are completely renovating and remodeling the ranch! With the remodeling there were horses and ponies out, but you were not allowed to feed or pet them due to the pandemic going on right now! But, you are able to get up close to them and take pictures with the beautiful horses. Throughout the park and resorts itself they still do have the horses out and some of them are even utilized in parades and some are even characters horses! The brand new barn at the ranch has been completed and the cast members are working very thoroughly to make sure it’s running at top notch! Another thing to add, a brand new foal was born at the ranch just a few weeks ago so make sure to go check that out! Throughout the ranch they do have barriers up and if you have been to Tri-Circle-D you would remember the pavilion being there but at the moment you can’t even see that! Back behind Crockett’s Tavern there used to be a playground and Mickey and Minnie’s Backyard BBQ but it is currently all blocked off! On a sad note, Hoop Dee Doo is currently not open at the moment but you can check out this video of us eating there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdsX9….

Walking through Tri-Circle-D’s new built ranch they do have pieces of history displayed inside and many pictures of Walt Disney with the horses. Tri-Circle-D Ranch has a history of housing “The Happiest Horses on Earth” being said, it was a part of Walt Disney’s vision to bring back horses to the Magic Kingdom Park! The barn has a wedding harness room showcasing tack for Cinderella’s ponies and the return of the museum dedicated to Walt Disney’s love for horses! Walt Disney purchased a horse-drawn musical wagon for the Disney Park back in the 1950’s and this musical wagon is the 1907 Dragon Calliope! The Dragon Calliope is currently being displayed in your very own Disney Fort Wilderness Resort!

In conclusion, we had an amazing time checking out the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The renovations are coming out amazing and we can’t wait to see it when it is completely finished. The beautiful Tri-Circle-D ranch is just a trot away from you, so you better saddle up and check out this beautiful resort!
