Christmas is starting now! Much like myself and countless others who begin celebrating the Holiday season at the beginning of November, so too do the Orlando theme parks. From Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Sunset Seasons Greetings at the Walt Disney World Resort, to Christmas inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and more, there’s no shortage of Holiday celebrations to be enjoyed during your late Fall/early Winter visit to Orlando. Though there is plenty to experience beyond the few Holiday celebrations that we will be highlighting here, these festivities can host the largest amounts of individuals per day, and are conveniently located for all who visit Orlando, or call this incredible area home.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
On select evenings, this separately ticketed Holiday event comes to life inside of the Magic Kingdom with plenty of entertainment and goodies to offer guests throughout the evening. First join Mickey and Friends for Mickey’s Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade, which makes its way through the Magic Kingdom and Down Main Street U.S.A. twice a night at 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.. For those of you who enjoy a fireworks spectacular, be sure to catch Mickey’s Wonderful Christmas Time Fireworks, boasting 180-degrees of color from within the park, beginning at 10:00 p.m. Plus, enjoy an endless supply of hot chocolate and christmas cookies located at very stations throughout the park, serving as the perfect fuel for those running from attraction to meet-and-greet throughout the evening hours!
Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort
Whether you’re into magic, mischief, or a combination of both, Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort is an experience fit for every individual in your party. Included with the cost of admission, guests can kick-off the Holiday celebration at Seuss’ Landing inside Islands of Adventure, as they learn the true meaning of Christmas with the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular stage show – a live retelling of the classic Holiday tale starring the Green One himself and the citizens of Who-ville, with multiple showtimes offered daily. Guests may then find their way over to Universal Studios Florida to catch a viewing of the Universal Holidays Parade featuring Macy’s. This Holiday favorite includes Balloons and parade floats of some of guests most beloved characters located throughout the park, such as the characters from Madagascar and Shrek. In addition to the Universal Holidays Parade Featuring Macy’s, guests can also catch the best selling Christmas Artist of all time, Mannheim Steamroller, live and in concert on select nights (also included with a valid park admission.) Last but certainly not least, guests can head on over to Islands of Adventure for an evening viewing of The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts. Experience Christmas inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in a magical way, as Hogwarts Castle comes to live in a dazzling display of Holiday projections and pyrotechnics, ongoing from dusk to the park’s closure.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Heading back over to Walt Disney World Resort property, we find a beautiful display of Holiday festivities at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, beginning on Sunset Boulevard. Sunset Seasons Greetings is back and as beautiful as ever in a stunning display of yuletide projections, snow, and lasers! Celebrate the Holidays with some of your favorite Hollywood Studios characters throughout the night as they revel in the Holiday season in their own unique way through projections on The Hollywood Tower Hotel. Afterwards, be sure to head on over to Toy Story Land and catch all of your favorite stars of the Toy Story franchise in their best festive attire. Plus, be sure to catch a ride on Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers for a festive interaction including your favorite Holiday jingles and more. Top off the night with a viewing of Jingle Bell Jingle BAM! A nighttime spectacular starring Prep and Landing from ABC’s Prep and Landing. Santa’s gone missing, and it’s up to Prep, Landing, and all of you to help save Christmas and rescue the big man! Enjoy classic renditions of some of your favorite Holiday hits, timed up to a beautiful display of Holiday projections and pyrotechnics, all ending in a glorious display of snow, lasers, color, and more! Though there is plenty to experience beyond the few Holiday celebrations that we will be throughout the coming weeks here, these festivities can host the largest amounts of individuals per day, and are conveniently located for all who visit Orlando, or call this incredible area home. Even still, we hope that you take this opportunity to go beyond the theme parks, and explore some of the smaller, local holiday celebrations, as well. Happy Holidays from The Trackers!
